Hi there, we’re Victoria and Eric, the faces behind The Healthy Dose.

The Healthy Dose isn’t something that happened overnight. It started after losing my dad to glioblastoma. That’s when I began digging into what’s actually in our food and everyday products. I’m not saying that’s what specifically caused his cancer — but what I found was eye-opening.

Eric and I slowly started eating more organic foods, cutting out junk, and paying attention to ingredients. Then I read Good Energy by Dr. Casey Means, and everything really clicked. We got more strict on what we eat, started working out more (in all honesty, Eric more than me haha). But most importantly, we feel better than ever. This isn’t a diet — it’s how our bodies were meant to eat.

One day I decided I wanted to share more of our health journey — what we’ve learned, what we’re still learning, and what we continue to discover along the way. That’s when Eric and I created The Healthy Dose on Instagram. The name felt like the perfect fit — sharing “doses” of health advice to cut through the noise. Because when every voice online is competing for your attention with conflicting advice, it becomes too much. We wanted to create a place where people feel guided, not lectured, and without fear mongering. And we’re still on this journey ourselves — learning, adjusting, and sharing as we go. Most recently this led me to enroll in a naturopathy practitioners course.

We then decided to take The Healthy Dose to Substack, which we recently rebranded to become Dose of Provisions — growing out of my two combined passions: interior design, an industry I’ve spent nearly a decade in, and health and wellness, a newer passion but one I’m just as deeply invested in. Dose of Provisions was created because I believe the spaces we live in and the products we fill them with matter just as much as what we put into our bodies. And this website was created as a dedicated space for our recipes, wellness guides, and provisions index.

So welcome to The Healthy Dose. We hope this space helps make this lifestyle feel a little less overwhelming and a lot more doable.

Cheers to healthy living!

xx
